Oracle Legacy Oracle NetSuite ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2020 2021
In 2020, Crane Composites Inc implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP as its ERP Financial platform to centralize manufacturing planning and shop floor control across its production operations. The deployment focused on cloud-hosted Oracle NetSuite ERP services configured to support production material planning, work order control, and materials requirement planning workflows typical of mid market manufacturing operations. Configuration work centered on MRP and Kanban replenishment, work order creation and scheduling, non standard rework orders, and new product introduction work orders. Functional configuration included part number setup with MRP parameters, Make/Buy decision fields, planner codes and accounting code alignment, bill of materials and engineering change order handling, WIP accounting support, and production reporting templates such as aged WIP, on time delivery, and risk reports. Operational coverage placed Oracle NetSuite ERP in the hands of Production Material Planners, Manufacturing Engineering, Configuration Management, NPI managers, production supervisors, and master scheduling staff to distribute production schedules and expedite material shortages. The system was used to identify and resolve daily material issues, support expedited component procurement, and coordinate schedule adjustments to meet unforeseen shop floor conditions. Governance and process changes emphasized role based work order permissions, collaborative ECO and BOM change workflows between manufacturing engineering and configuration management, and escalation paths for shortages directed to appropriate stakeholders. Oracle NetSuite ERP supported the Crane Business System initiative by enabling participation in kaizen events, centralized MRP signal maintenance, and systematic reconciliation of ECO impacts to WIP.
