In 2019, CROSSMARK configured Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac) as its ERP Financial platform to support core accounts receivable and accounts payable operations at the Mississauga, ON finance site. The deployment emphasized transactional finance workflows and month end control for a field-facing professional services organization operating with centralized finance oversight.
The implementation focused on the Accounts Receivable module to manage cash application, customer payment deductions, and monitoring of the Aged Trial Balance report, with enforced posting of all entries in Sage 300 ERP prior to period close. Accounts Payable controls were established to track incoming payable invoices, prepare and approve cheque requests, and route approved requests to head office for cheque preparation. Processes for reconciling customers payments and deductions on a monthly basis were configured, and the system was used to gather and compile trade spend backup to finalize monthly trade spend and charge back to clients where applicable.
Operational integrations and touch points included coordination with warehouse teams to investigate deductions and the use of customer portals to gather supporting documentation for deduction claims and trade spend reconciliation. The deployment used Sage 300 ERP for daily cash application work, classification of deductions, and reconciliation workflows, supporting Customer Business Manager interactions and finance desk activities. New hires received hands on training in the Sage 300 ERP workflows for deduction classification and posting to ensure consistent ledger treatment.
Governance changes established approval gates, including Customer Business Manager sign off for returned inventory authorizations and a defined cheque request approval path that involved head office processing. Monthly reconciliation ownership and filing practices were codified to align AR, AP and trade spend processes with period close timelines. Sage 300 ERP (formerly Accpac) was the operational system of record for these finance functions, linking transactional accounting, reconciliation, and trade spend chargeback activities.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, CROSSMARK implemented Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) to support Analytics and BI for enterprise reporting and analytics workflows. The deployment centered on data mart databases feeding a SQL Server and Analysis Services based platform, with SSRS used as the primary reporting layer and SSAS cubes providing analytical models and hierarchies.
The implementation included a broad set of SSRS report types, including Matrix, Drill Down, Drill Through, cascading parameterized and chart reports, with reports deployed to a report server and managed through report subscriptions. Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) configurations also incorporated report snapshots to improve SSRS performance, and Excel 2010 with Power Pivot was used for ad-hoc analysis.
ETL and data movement were implemented via a mix of SSIS and scheduled SQL Server Agent jobs, plus bespoke extraction code written in Scope on the Cosmos system, C , batch files, and T-SQL to support the MSN NIF pipeline and aggregate data for forwarding to internal teams. SSRS report deployment and SQL Server Agent job scheduling were part of the operational cadence for data loads and refresh cycles.
On the multidimensional side, the SSAS workstream modified Facts and Dimensions, created user defined hierarchies, organized measure groups and calculations, and maintained cubes to populate analytical models. A Malevich site was configured and hosted to enable an efficient code review process, and the team tracked project status and created issue items for timely review and updates to technical and transformation files.
Operational governance emphasized scheduled jobs and subscription management for report distribution, and explicit use of report snapshots to address performance concerns in SSRS. The platform supported internal reporting and analytics functions across CROSSMARK, with ongoing maintenance activities focused on cube population, measure adjustments and ETL orchestration.
