The project scope explicitly covered appraisal, upgrade and integration of key business systems, and reporting requirements were delivered in collaboration with senior management in London and the Crown Group in Australia to support finance and commercial analytics including player performance and program appraisal. Governance and process changes formalised ownership of data integrity and reporting through the creation of an analytics function led by a Data Analytics Manager reporting to the General Manager Finance. Data cleansing, documented best practice for reliable data capture and cross department process improvements were central to rollout, ensuring management reports were consistently sourced from the Sage Business Cloud X3 backed data warehouse.
