In 2018, Cruz Verde implemented JDA Space Planning as part of a Retail Management initiative. The Chilean pharmacy leader, operating more than 650 stores including Easter Island, selected JDA Space Planning, JDA Floor Planning and JDA Consulting Services to streamline category management and to align shelf and floor space with consumer profitability and purchasing trends.
The deployment centralized planogram generation and shelf level space allocation using JDA Space Planning and complemented those capabilities with store layout and fixture configuration via JDA Floor Planning. Configuration work emphasized category rules, assortment sequencing and shelf adjacency logic to support faster merchandising decision cycles, with templates and automated planogram outputs to standardize store-level execution.
Operational scope covered merchandising, category management and store operations across Cruz Verde’s national estate, embedding space and floor planning into channel response processes and store replenishment planning. The implementation was positioned to drive more efficient use of retail footprint and to inform purchasing patterns, while remaining focused on store-level plan adoption and execution.
JDA Consulting Services was engaged to manage design through execution, providing implementation governance, phased rollout planning and change management to merchandising workflows. Explicitly stated outcomes included reducing inventory levels and optimizing delivery and response to customer needs in a more timely manner.

In 2021, Cruz Verde implemented the Vonage Video API (ex TokBox OpenTok) on its public website to enable Audio Video and Web Conferencing capabilities for customer-facing video interactions. The Vonage Video API (ex TokBox OpenTok) was embedded directly into site pages to provide real-time audio and video sessions and client-side media streams for browser users.
