The deployment was initiated to centralize contracting workflows for a rapidly growing legal department reporting to the General Counsel and to align contract processes with Commercial, Compliance, Privacy, HR, IT and Finance stakeholders.
Ironclad CLM was configured to deliver core contract lifecycle functionality including centralized contract authoring and template management, clause library governance, configurable approval workflows, automated obligation and milestone tracking, and e signature orchestration. The implementation emphasized workflow automation and template standardization to enforce negotiated terms and reduce manual administrative effort across contracting workflows.
Integrations in the implementation reflected existing tool usage, incorporating DocuSign for signature execution, Adobe Acrobat Pro for document preparation, Gmail and Microsoft Office Suite for user workflow continuity, and eBilling management software to support outside counsel invoice handling. Operational coverage prioritized the internal Legal Team while enabling management of outside counsel engagement letters, invoice reconciliation, and coordination with Finance for invoice review and payment.
Governance and process changes focused on establishing standardized intake and approval workflows, updating outside counsel guidelines and billing reconciliation processes, and providing contract management system end user technical support and training. The deployment also supported legal hold and e discovery support, onboarding and offboarding of temporary legal staff, and broader objectives to bring greater organization and efficiency to Curative's Legal Operations.
