In 2012, CVS Health implemented Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable. The Serrala FinanceSuite Accounts Payable deployment targeted AP Automation to support procure to pay workflows beginning at purchase requisition and continuing through payment execution.
Implementation scope centered on procure to pay processes tightly aligned with SAP Materials Management, covering purchase requisition, purchase order creation, goods receipt, invoice receipt, three way matching, and downstream payment processing either manually or through the Automatic Payment Program configured via FBZP. Functional configuration work documented in the engagement included Automatic Payment Program parameters, proposals and payments, evaluated receipt settlement, vendor master configuration, withholding tax reporting for 1099 and 1042, and treasury submodule settings for house banks, multiple bank accounts, alternate bank selection and check lot management.
The technical architecture incorporated IDOC based EDI for inbound and outbound data exchange, Bank Communication Management to facilitate approval workflows for outgoing payments, Payment Medium Workbench per region, batch job scheduling for interface processing, and electronic bank statement handling. Activities also included loading open invoices, vendor records and payments into SAP as part of a mainframe to SAP conversion effort, plus configuration and support for Vendor Invoice Management and Dolphin PTS for automated invoice receipt with attached images.
Governance and operational controls used change request management and transport requests to move configuration from development to test and production, and maintained Detailed Design Documents and Step Design Documents in Solution Manager for PRICEFW objects. Testing and rollout discipline relied on HPQC for test case management and defect tracking, creation of program variants and scheduled jobs, end user training, and ongoing support to resolve operational issues and refine AP and treasury workflows.

In 2018, CVS Health implemented Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management as part of its Oracle HCM Cloud deployment under the Absence and Leave Management category. Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management was configured to operate within the broader Fusion HCM footprint and to tie absence administration into payroll and core HR processes.
The implementation covered configuration and functional design across Absence Management, Global HR, Payroll, Compensation Management, Time and Labor, Performance Management and Workforce Modeling. Project work included mapping business requirements for core HR, absence, payroll, compensation and performance to Oracle HCM Cloud functionality, and provisioning predefined data for attendance, deductions, pension, on boarding, recruitment, career management and time management constructs. Oracle Cloud HCM Absence Management was set up for absence types, accrual rules, eligibility and timecard interactions aligned with Fusion Time and Labor supplies.
Data orchestration relied on HCM Extracts, File Based Loader procedures and OTBI reporting, with XML interfaces and Taleo TCC and TSS integration for recruiting flows. The engagement produced high volume CSV extracts, wrote conversion SQRs to populate Oracle HCM application database tables, and delivered interfaces and reports for HR, Payroll, Benefits and Time and Labor. Security governance was implemented through custom job and data roles, security profiles and administration in APM, OIM and the Security Console, and a custom OTL timecard approval workflow was designed and tested to enable external approver scenarios.
Operational scope and governance spanned HR, Benefits Administration, Payroll, Time and Labor and Recruiting, with management of functional budgets, timelines and resources for e Profile, e Compensation and e Performance modules. The delivery included parallel test troubleshooting, payroll setup validation and creation of daily and weekly dashboards and OTBI reports to track headcount, terminations and compensation related metrics.

HealthRules Payer was configured to capture pricing calculation logic, claim validation rules and benefit configuration, aligning pricing inputs directly with adjudication paths and exception handling.
Operational governance emphasized configuration controls, versioned rate table management and formal validation routines to ensure contracts, rates and pricing were configured correctly to accurately process claims in HealthRules Payer. The program documented change control procedures and handoffs between contract administration, pricing teams and claims operations to maintain configuration integrity and support ongoing rate updates.
