In 2016, D-reizen implemented Exact Online as its ERP Financial solution to support core finance operations across the company. The Exact Online deployment was positioned to handle general ledger administration, accounts receivable management, invoice administration, and the coordination of month end, quarter end and year end closing activities.
Exact Online was configured to provide modules and workflows for the general ledger, receivables, invoicing, financial close coordination and financial reporting specifications. Configuration work included establishing close coordination processes, receivables controls excluding retail outstanding item handling, invoice processing flows and reporting templates used for audit preparation, while the Exact Online application name remained the primary finance system referenced by the administration team.
Operational responsibility for Exact Online sat alongside existing financial tooling administered by the finance organization, notably Exact Financials and Exact Synergy Enterprise, with operational familiarity recorded for Oracle, Binamics, Bas and Office. The implementation therefore functioned in a multi-system operational footprint, with Exact Online serving ERP Financial functions while finance staff administered and operated complementary systems for broader administrative needs.
Governance and process changes were administered by the general ledger administration lead, who coordinated the progress of monthly, quarterly and year end closings, supervised annual audit preparation, produced reports and specifications, supported payroll administration, advised commerce on bonuses commissions and marketing contributions, and led ongoing improvements and project work within the administration function.
