SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2013 2013
In 2013, Daesang Corporation implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as an upgrade of its SAP ERP environment. The deployment focused on ERP Financial capabilities and on establishing a business process platform, referred to as BPP, to provide a foundation for future IT architectures. The program extended the ERP implementation to include SAP Process Integration PI, Enterprise Portal EP, and SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse BW, all deployed on a SAP NetWeaver based platform with service oriented architecture SOA elements to standardize interfaces and orchestrate processes. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was configured alongside these components to centralize financial and core transactional workflows and to create a modular application stack within the BPP. The project was executed in about five months by BSG Partners, who led SAP solution based construction covering SAP ERP, BPP, SOA, and NetWeaver based platforms. Workstreams prioritized interface improvement across existing systems and the establishment of BPP based information systems, while explicitly preparing infrastructure to accommodate SAP HANA, big data, and in memory computing in future phases. Operational coverage included company wide ERP Financial processes and governance involvement from Daesang's Information Strategy Team under the leadership of Kwak Mun-gyo. The upgrade was positioned to improve work speed and maximize operational efficiency, enabling faster response to business changes and creating cross company synergy through the next generation information system infrastructure.
