In 2017, the David Suzuki Foundation Canada implemented Rise People HR as its Core HR system. The Vancouver based non profit with 112 employees deployed Rise People HR to centralize payroll, time off tracking and group benefits across multiple offices, targeting simplification of absence management and operational HR processes.
Deployment centered on Rise People HR payroll and integrated time off tracking modules, combined with group benefits administration that was progressively onboarded onto the platform. Configuration work focused on absence policy enforcement, payroll schedule alignment and employee self service for leave requests and pay statements, preserving continuity for HR and finance teams.
Operational coverage included HR and payroll functions across the foundation's multiple office locations in Canada, with the HR team using Rise People HR to coordinate absence workflows and benefits enrollment. The foundation reported substantial HR time savings from the integrated time off and payroll functionality and subsequently moved group benefits onto the Rise platform.
