In 2019 Delta Laboratories deployed the Perkbox Platform as its Employee Recognition and Rewards Management solution across the business. The initial rollout targeted 130 employees at the Central Coast, NSW site, with a deliberate emphasis on packing and assembly room teams where recognition gaps were identified.
The Perkbox Platform implementation centered on peer-to-peer recognition and manager-driven Reward points functionality, enabling instant point issuance and employee-directed redemptions. The configuration also included always-on employee discounts, pre-built engagement calendars, and interactive features such as polls, which were used to sustain ongoing participation and surface winners for monthly recognition activities.
Operational coverage extended to HR and frontline managers who were allocated quarterly budgets to distribute Reward points, and the platform was embedded into recruitment messaging to support attraction. Jacqueline Leach, Commercial Manager, purchased approximately 90,000 Reward points in a six month period to operationalize manager allocations, and nearly three quarters of employees participated in regular recognitions during the program period.
Governance was implemented through manager budget allocations and calendar-driven engagement workflows to ensure continuous usage. Explicit results reported include 100% platform activation within 12 months, 1,386 total perks redeemed, a stated minimum perk savings of $11.4K, 82% of the workforce using discount benefits with almost $15,000 saved, and a small increase in retention alongside a clear increase in employee engagement.
