DENSO Technographics, Software Purchases, AI and Digital Transformation Initiatives
Discover the latest software purchases and digital transformation initiatives being undertaken by DENSO and its business and technology executives. Each quarter our research team identifies on-prem and cloud applications that are being used by the 158056 DENSO employees from the public (Press Releases, Customer References, Testimonials, Case Studies and Success Stories) and proprietary sources.
During our research, we have identified that DENSO has purchased the following applications: Oracle Cloud ERP for ERP Financial in 2022, Bloom Career Registration for Candidate Relationship Management in 2021, Amazon SageMaker for ML and Data Science Platforms in 2021 and the related IT decision-makers and key stakeholders.
Our database provides customer insight and contextual information on which enterprise applications and software systems DENSO is running and its propensity to invest more and deepen its relationship with Oracle , Bloom Career , UKG or identify new suppliers as part of their overall Digital and IT transformation projects to stay competitive, fend off threats from disruptive forces, or comply with internal mandates to improve overall enterprise efficiency.
We have been analyzing DENSO revenues, which have grown to $47.90 billion in 2024, plus its IT budget and roadmap, cloud software purchases, aggregating massive amounts of data points that form the basis of our forecast assumptions for DENSO intention to invest in emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, IoT, Blockchain, Autonomous Database or in cloud-based ERP, HCM, CRM, EPM, Procurement or Treasury applications.

In 2022, DENSO implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as part of a global rollout, with the February 2022 wave specifically addressing the Oracle Cloud Purchasing Module for Wave 2 in the DENSO APAC region. The implementation is positioned under the ERP Financial category and targets procurement and supplier management functions across APAC sites.
The Wave 2 deployment concentrated on core procurement modules, explicitly Purchasing, Sourcing, Supplier Portal, and Receiving. Oracle Cloud ERP configuration work included procure-to-pay workflow orchestration, sourcing event configuration, supplier onboarding and self service through the Supplier Portal, and receiving and goods receipt processing to align inventory and procurement records with financial control requirements.
Architecturally the work emphasized integration with third party systems, implementing API based connectors and message interfaces to exchange purchase orders, supplier responses, and receipt confirmations. The APAC rollout was scoped as a regional wave within a broader global program, with integration points scoped for upstream sourcing data and downstream receiving and finance touch points to ensure transactional continuity across systems.
Governance followed a wave based rollout model with centralized program oversight coordinating cutover, supplier onboarding through the Supplier Portal, and change control for procurement processes in affected business units. Operational responsibilities covered procurement, supplier management, receiving and related finance stakeholders in the APAC region, with supplier integration and portal adoption framed as primary operational priorities for Wave 2.

In 2021, DENSO deployed Bloom Career Registration on its public career website. Bloom Career Registration is a Candidate Relationship Management application used to capture candidate registrations, build talent pools, and maintain profile records through a web embedded registration flow.
The implementation focuses on front end candidate intake and early talent engagement capabilities, with configuration for candidate profile capture, segmentation, and lifecycle tracking consistent with Candidate Relationship Management workflows. Operational coverage centers on recruitment and talent acquisition functions that source candidates via the career site, and governance emphasis is placed on candidate data stewardship and consent capture tied to recruiting workflows.

In 2021, DENSO implemented Amazon SageMaker to automate ML model development for ADAS image recognition, positioning Amazon SageMaker as its ML and Data Science Platforms solution to support the AD & ADAS Technology Division 1. The implementation focused on accelerating image sensor model workflows used for parking, lane change assistance, and object recognition, enabling ML and data engineers to concentrate on feature development for advanced driver-assistance systems.
The deployment used serverless AWS services to construct a CI/CD pipeline for machine learning, with AWS Step Functions orchestrating multistep workflows. DENSO used the AWS Step Functions Data Science Software Development Kit to create preprocessing, postprocessing, and evaluation pipelines, and configured Amazon SageMaker to parallelize training jobs and allocate GPU instances on demand through the pipeline, reducing training time from three days to three hours.
Data and compute were integrated across AWS services, with raw and processed datasets consolidated in Amazon Simple Storage Service for scalability, staged to Amazon FSx for Lustre to accelerate high-performance compute workloads, and traceability metadata captured in Amazon DocumentDB with MongoDB compatibility. The AD & ADAS Technology Division 1 reported reduced hours for data management by 55 percent and reduced time spent on repeat engineering tasks by 66 percent, while a Cloud Economics Center assessment indicated a roughly 20 percent lower total cost of ownership compared to other evaluated solutions.
Governance and operational processes were adapted to the new platform, using automated traceability and workflow-driven repeatability to satisfy international transparency standards and to standardize model provenance. DENSO declared the division production-ready on Amazon SageMaker by January 2021, and planned to expand deployment of remaining ML model environments through around January 2022, with consideration of Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth for managed data labeling and potential extension of cloud ML practices to other sensor types such as lidar.
