Operational coverage unified web self-service and HR call center interactions so processes and information are accessible from a single platform, while orchestration addressed the need to coordinate multiple backend systems and contact channels including voice chat and email. The program launched in May 2020 during a remote working environment, and the platform rollout focused on harmonizing employee experience across HR agents, active employees, and retired colleagues spanning more than 200,000 staff and subsidiaries. Governance was reshaped by enabling business teams to author processes in their own terminology, creating a common language between business and IT and shortening the time from process elaboration to go-live. Deutsche Telekom has consolidated over 500 HR processes on Pega Platform with 300 additional processes planned through 2025, identified and streamlined 250 low-impact processes, freed HR agents from repetitive tasks, and reported millions of Euros saved in application operation and management costs while improving employee satisfaction.
