In 2017, DHL UK implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its enterprise solution for core finance functions under the ERP Financial program. Oracle Cloud ERP was positioned to centralize financial and procurement operations and to support the broader DHL Supply Chain Reimagine Finance strategy.
Modules in scope for the deployment included Vendors, Customers, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, iProcurement, iExpenses and General Ledger, reflecting a full finance and procurement footprint. Configuration work emphasized a single Chart of Accounts framework and standardized ledger structures to enable consistent financial reporting across entities, while workstreams covered master data governance, transaction mapping and GL and procurement configuration.
Data migration and integrations were executed from named source systems, explicitly including Oracle R12.1, R12.2 and SAP, with prior consolidations drawing on Oracle 11i, Oracle HR Cloud, SAP variants, Microsoft Dynamics Navision, iScala and Logo Tiger. The program included plans for a global rollout covering circa 46 countries and supporting over 20 languages, and remote delivery was demonstrated on the Andes project for Peru and Colombia, executed with distributed teams. Implementation and data management were coordinated through a Head of Data Management role delivered through Enisus Ltd, with teams operating across the UK, Spain, Germany, India, Singapore, USA, Peru and Colombia.
Governance enforced strict global standards, centralized data migration processes and a common accounting framework to support consolidation and operational standardization. The earlier Oracle R12 global rationalization migrated over 400 million records from multiple HR and finance sources and the program received the 2019 Global DHL Supply Chain Award for Investment of Choice, establishing the organizational precedent for the Oracle Cloud ERP ERP Financial rollout.

In 2017, DHL UK implemented Oracle Cloud HCM as its Core HR platform. The Oracle Cloud HCM deployment was delivered alongside DHL's broader Oracle cloud initiatives, which included Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle Cloud Financials programs overseen by a Contract Head of Data Management, and prioritized creating a centralized HR data backbone for distribution operations in the United Kingdom.
Oracle Cloud HCM was configured to support Core HR capabilities, including workforce records and lifecycle management, organizational and position structures, time and absence administration, and profile driven employee attributes. Configuration emphasized role based security, workflow automation for HR transactions, and standardized data models to support hiring, transfers, and workforce reporting consistent with Core HR functional expectations.
The HCM implementation was coordinated with concurrent Oracle ERP Cloud and Oracle Cloud Financials data activities, aligning HR master data to enterprise finance and procurement domains through controlled data feeds and staged data consolidation efforts led by the Head of Data Management. Operational coverage focused on central HR operations for UK distribution sites and interfaces to downstream payroll and finance systems to maintain consistent employee and cost center information.
Governance enacted centralized HR master data standards, approval workflows, and template based process controls to align local HR practices with global templates, enabling interoperability with the wider Oracle cloud landscape. The approach prioritized enforceable data standards and staged rollout governance to support future integration and reporting needs within DHL's enterprise application estate.
