In 2021, Dibal Spain developed and deployed an in-house Ticket BAI invoicing module embedded in its commercial weighing scales used by retailers in the Basque Country. The Ticket BAI module functions as an AP Automation capability, producing signed TicketBAI XML documents, generating QR codes, and packaging invoices for submission to the Haciendas Forales.
The implementation was delivered as an integrated module within scale software and companion applications, implementing functional capabilities for invoice creation, XML signature processing, QR code generation, and electronic remittance. The solution was scoped to retail and finance processes for customers operating in the Basque region, aligning device-level transaction capture with fiscal reporting workflows.
Dibal went live with the Ticket BAI module in 2021 to ensure compliance ahead of the 2022 TicketBAI deadlines, and the rollout focused on providing retailers with traceable, legally compliant invoicing from point of sale hardware. The deployment improved traceability and legal compliance for Dibal customers by producing TicketBAI compliant artifacts and facilitating remittance to regional tax authorities.
