The implementation delivered SAP ERP ECC 6.0 functionality augmented with custom ABAP development and Webdynpro ABAP user interfaces, focused on core financial modules and controlling workflows typical of ERP Financial deployments. Work included solution design and custom code to support invoicing, general ledger integration, accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, and automated interfaces feeding reporting layers.
The landscape and integration architecture incorporated SAP PI/PO for middleware orchestration, SAP Solution Manager for centralized system management, and connectivity with CRM, BI and BW components, with BW artifacts and BI content aligned to ECC transactional feeds. Technical platform details included SAP ECC 6.0 EHP6, SAP NetWeaver 7.3 and 7.4 components, EP and BI stacks, and an operational HANA footprint used for BW and performance optimization tasks.
Operational governance and runbook activities were implemented using STMS for transport management integrated with a third party transport tool RealTech, CTS configurations in Solution Manager, client copies and system refresh procedures, kernel and SPAM upgrades, and daily health checks. Technical responsibilities covered ABAP development leadership, performance tuning, background job scheduling, backup and recovery, HANA administration and security, and incident remediation across systems used by users in several countries, impacting finance, accounting and enterprise reporting functions.
