Operational scope covered finance, operations and project teams within the business, and governance changes included new internal processes to enforce expenditure controls and to embed financial checkpoints into project lifecycles. While retaining the Operations Director role, the executive stepped up to Managing Director to lead a strategic repositioning and rebranding of the group engineering business, aligning commercial extension into the Agriculture, Industrial, Feed Milling and Food & Beverage sectors with the new financial controls.
The combined process and system changes delivered tighter control of expenditure and real time visibility into P&L and project costs, and drove an improvement in turnover of more than £1.1million per annum.
