Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Ltd. implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to establish a centralized ERP Financial backbone for its onshore and offshore operations. The deployment positioned Oracle E-Business Suite as the primary financial system, aligning accounting and asset accounting records with operational asset management requirements. Configuration work focused on core ERP Financial functions typical for upstream oil and gas, including general ledger, accounts payable, and asset accounting to record and track capitalized plant assets. Oracle E-Business Suite was configured to support financial workflows that intersect with maintenance and capital planning, ensuring financial-ledger visibility for equipment and pipeline investments. Velosi delivered the VAIL Plant Asset Integrity Management System and designed the VAIL application to integrate directly with the Oracle E-Business Suite application database. The integration covered onshore and offshore pipeline assets, pressurized equipment, subsea structures, PSVs, and electrical and rotary equipment, and included a comprehensive pilot study for topside equipment, process piping, structure platforms, and pipelines to validate data flows between integrity records and the ERP Financial system. Project services included software supply and implementation, complete documentation, technical training, user acceptance testing, and ongoing maintenance and support. Operational governance changes concentrated on coordinating finance, maintenance, and engineering workflows to align asset integrity data from VAIL with financial asset records in Oracle E-Business Suite.
