The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 implementation configured logistics-aligned capabilities including materials management, warehouse management and sales and distribution along with financial accounting to align inventory valuation and transactional accounting. Configuration work focused on warehouse control, inventory movement, order-to-cash and procure-to-pay workflows to unify operational and financial recordkeeping and support real time transaction processing and forecasting.
Accely acted as the implementation partner and went live with the SAP ECC implementation on May 29, 2020. Deployment leveraged SAP HANA platform characteristics to support real time transaction processing and centralized analytics while concentrating on logistics and distribution operations.
Operational governance aligned logistics and finance process owners for cutover, configuration signoffs and post go live stabilization under Accely project governance. The implementation positioned SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to centralize inventory, order and financial workflows, simplifying logistics, warehouse control, accounting and distribution across DUCAB's UAE operations.

The program plan was developed using the ASAP methodology, with subsidiary plans for risk management, project schedule, quality management, and a tailored SAP Launch methodology for cloud components, and a RACI matrix to clarify project roles and responsibilities.
Requirements and integration planning were driven through facilitated workshops, a Business Requirements Document preparation strategy to freeze business requirements, and guidelines for an integration strategy document. The lead produced regular project review status reports, led key stakeholder meetings, and reviewed system setup to provide solution design guidance for key functional elements, aligning SAP HCM (HR) and Employee Central configurations with implementation strategy and future company objectives to achieve maximum automation.

Configuration work focused on structuring equipment hierarchies, defining maintenance task lists and strategies, and establishing standard maintenance order types and status flows to support maintenance execution and planning.
Operational governance was formalized with an Assistant Manager for Enterprise Asset Management Systems and a SAP Certified Senior SAP EAM Solution Architect in place since July 2013 to steward the application and drive ongoing configuration, user support and process alignment. The program established centralized maintenance process ownership across maintenance, reliability and engineering functions at Ducab, and sustained in-house EAM administration and roadmap activities under the named EAM role.
