In 2020, Dyson UK migrated from SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to SAP S/4 HANA to centralize core finance processing. The SAP S/4 HANA deployment targeted ERP Financial capabilities across finance and IT functions and established a governance-led programme for ongoing delivery.
The implementation configured core modules for Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Records to Report, Master Data Governance, Vendor Invoice Management and Supply Chain Management within SAP S/4 HANA, and extended financial planning and analysis through OneStream. Configuration work emphasized orchestration of R2R and FP&A workflows and program-level controls to ensure data accuracy, integrity and completeness.
Integrations were implemented to connect SAP S/4 HANA with third party solutions including Security Weaver, Concur, Workday, Vistex, CRM and Ariba while OneStream was embedded as the FP&A tool. Operational scope covered global finance and IT teams, coordinating across locations and third party providers to align master data, procure to pay, order to cash and vendor management processes.
Programme governance was executed through a central SAP S/4 HANA programme and project management office responsible for planning, execution, monitoring and vendor management in relation to the Systems Integrator and other third parties. Change management across both finance and IT, stakeholder sponsorship via the project board, formal data governance, and risk and issue management were used to manage delivery across the SAP S/4 HANA project portfolio following the successful conversion to SAP S/4 HANA.

These integration tests validated payroll feed and time to payroll exchanges, HR data synchronization between Workday and external learning and talent platforms, and ticketing workflows into ServiceNow for absence related case management.
Governance and quality assurance activities included Functional, Regression and UAT testing, conducted from June 2019 to October 2019 by a Workday Test Lead in London. The implementation impacted HR administration, payroll operations, talent and recruitment workflows, and security governance, with structured testing cycles used to validate end to end absence and time tracking processes.
