| SAP | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, DyStar began a global SAP S/4 HANA program in the ERP Financial category, replacing SAP ERP ECC 6.0. The initiative established a centralized project management office to manage and monitor a portfolio of finance and country compliance projects across multiple sites including Taiwan and India.
SAP S/4 HANA was configured to support core Financial Accounting and Controlling capabilities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and period end close workflows, leveraging the SAP S/4 HANA in memory platform. Configuration work focused on financial master data harmonization, chart of accounts rationalization, and standardization of accounting and close processes to align with enterprise ERP Financial requirements.
The program included discrete projects and integration planning, notably an IBP Phase 2 feasibility study to evaluate SAP Integrated Business Planning interactions with S/4 HANA, a Taiwan country re implementation of SAP S/4 HANA, and country level compliance projects for India eInvoice and e Way. Trace&Trace was run as a parallel project to address traceability requirements, with timelines coordinated through the central PMO.
Governance was delivered through the PMO function which was tasked to set up program controls, manage project sequencing, and monitor deliverables and risks. A dedicated project manager led the global re implementation effort from November 2019 to April 2020, and the PMO tracked feasibility studies and phased rollouts to guide country implementations and compliance work streams.
Project timelines recorded under the PMO include the global re implementation leadership role from November 2019 to April 2020, the Implement IBP workstream from June 2020 to November 2020, the Trace&Trace project completed between November 2020 and December 2020, and the India eInvoice and e Way project from August 2020 to January 2021. These program level dates reflect the sequence of ERP Financial and compliance related deliverables managed under the DyStar PMO.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP HCM (HR) | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010, DyStar implemented SAP HCM (HR) as its Core HR platform. The 2010 deployment centralized the company’s HR processes onto SAP HCM (HR) to standardize personnel administration and payroll across its organization.
The implementation focused on core functional modules typical of Core HR deployments, including Personnel Administration and Organization Management, payroll configuration, time management, recruitment, and Training Event Management. Configuration work emphasized HR master data models, payroll schema and country pay rules, time evaluation and absence recording, and SAP Workflow to drive HR approvals and routing.
Integrations were established to link SAP HCM (HR) into DyStar’s enterprise landscape, using payroll interfaces and HR self service touchpoints to connect transactional HR activity with broader operational systems. Operational ownership sat with the HR and payroll functions for process configuration, with IT providing technical maintenance and application support.
Governance for the rollout used phased activation of modules, role based access control for HR data, and formal change control for configuration updates. Post go live sustaining activities included application management and incident ticketing to support ongoing HR operations and system stability.
