| FUJITSU GLOVIA | Legacy | GLOVIA G2 | Manufacturing ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, East Penn Manufacturing implemented GLOVIA G2 as its Manufacturing ERP to support plant-level production and quality assurance operations. The deployment was centered on shop floor and quality control workflows at the Lyons, Pennsylvania site and linked day to day production floor tasks to enterprise resource planning functions. GLOVIA G2 is referenced directly as the application driving manufacturing planning, inventory control, and lot level traceability for production operations. This implementation placed the GLOVIA G2 Manufacturing ERP within the company processes that govern in-process inspections and finished goods handling.
Configuration emphasized quality management and shop floor control capabilities common to Manufacturing ERP systems, including first piece inspection documentation, routine and non-routine test result capture, visual inspection recording, and barcode based stock to line and line to stock transactions. The system supported documentation workflows used by Quality Assurance personnel, such as data forms, logbooks, and first piece papers, and was aligned with operational tasks like tagging parts, recording acid levels, and scanning inventory with handheld devices. These functional configurations enabled consistent capture of inspection and test data within the GLOVIA G2 Manufacturing ERP environment.
Integrations during the implementation included operational interfaces with Red Tag and Data Meister, and connections to the plant mainframe systems that were in use by QA and production staff. The combined environment meant technicians and Production Floaters used Glovia and ancillary tools as part of routine testing, sample analysis, and materials handling workflows, tying shop floor activities into enterprise inventory and production records. The integration footprint reflected in-situ operational coverage across quality assurance, production lines, and warehouse material movements at the Lyons facility.
Governance and workflow restructuring focused on embedding standardized QA procedures into the ERP driven processes, including formal capture of deviations, documented testing protocols, and role based responsibilities for load, unload, and transfer tasks. Training and procedural alignment were reflected in everyday operational tasks such as scan gun use, forklift and material handling coordination, and the maintenance of testing protocols within GLOVIA G2. The narrative describes an implementation where GLOVIA G2 Manufacturing ERP became the operational backbone for quality and production recordkeeping without asserting quantified outcomes.
