In 2022, Edgewell Personal Care implemented Kofax ReadSoft Online as part of an AP Automation initiative, deploying the vendor solution from Tungsten Automation to support outsourced accounts payable operations. The implementation was managed alongside an outsourced third party provider and framed within Global Business Services to centralize invoice intake and upstream AP processing across multiple corporate entities.
Kofax ReadSoft Online was configured to deliver invoice capture, optical character recognition, automated data extraction, validation and workflow routing consistent with AP Automation functional patterns. Administration activities explicitly included user access reviews, user training, reporting configuration, and staged internal expansion, with configuration controls to support exception handling and approvals workflows.
The project integrated with SAP for ledger posting and vendor accounting, and with Concur and Appzen for expense and T&E controls, while operational linkages supported Bank of America virtual card and supply chain financing programs. Operational coverage extended to corporate T&E processing, corporate credit card management, Vendor Master Team inputs, and coordination with FP&A for reporting and KPI data requests.
Governance and process workstreams included process reviews, root cause analysis, process documentation, and acquisition integration activities to drive standardization and simplification opportunities. Controls enhancements were targeted at the Vendor Master Team to manage W9 W8 and 1099 information, and the program provided structured support for audit and tax filings, ad hoc wire payment processing, and cross-functional escalation handling.

The Sterling Background Check implementation supported core screening workflows typical of BackGround Screening solutions, including initiation of checks, result tracking, and case management for candidates. Recruiters and HR assistants fed candidate records from SuccessFactors, Indeed, and social media sourcing into the screening process, triggering Sterling Background Check actions and enabling visibility of screening status alongside routine recruiting activities.
Operational coverage included HR recruiting teams responsible for candidate selection, interview coordination, offer management, and new hire orientation across the Dover, Delaware site and additional US locations where the recruiter expanded responsibilities. Governance practices documented in daily activity logs and weekly and monthly recruiting reports aligned screening initiation to interview scheduling, candidate debriefing, and offer closure, with Sterling Background Check serving as the formal third party screening channel.
The implementation supported high-volume hiring activity in early 2022, with recruiters conducting and initiating background checks with third party contractor Sterling and successfully hiring over 75 employees in less than 90 days. Edgewell Personal Care used Sterling Background Check as a central BackGround Screening tool to link candidate sourcing, screening, and onboarding processes across its recruiting function.
