In 2018, Electrix NZ implemented SAP S/4 HANA as its ERP Financial system. The deployment centralized core financial operations for the New Zealand utilities company with approximately 1000 employees, consolidating accounts payable, general ledger, procurement invoicing, and payment processing into a single SAP S/4 HANA environment.
Implementation focused on ERP Financial modules supporting procure to pay workflows, accounts payable automation, purchase order processing, payment runs, staff reimbursements, and statutory ledger management. Finance administrators at Electrix used SAP S/4 HANA and SAP software referred to internally as Codex to create purchase orders, process invoices, and manage payments, while Excel remained in use for processing large invoices and producing pivot based reports for managers.
Operational scope covered coordination across branch administrators, supplier account managers, and reception operations to resolve supplier and invoice queries, and to support procurement tasks such as Vodafone connectivity provisioning. Integrations and adjacent systems explicitly referenced in operational notes include spreadsheet exports to Excel and the use of Intrigriti Software for building security reporting, with governance oriented around purchase order controls, invoice routing, centralized finance administration, timesheet capture and expense reconciliation.
