Initial module configuration concentrated on purchasing, logistics, and finance modules within SAP ERP ECC 6.0, establishing transactional posting, procurement to pay flows, inventory movement, and financial accounting workflows. Retail functionality was extended through SAP Finance for retail and additional SAP forecasting and replenishment functionality to automate demand planning and the reordering of products.
The implementation integrated SAP ERP ECC 6.0 with other SAP product capabilities in the retail stack, enabling forecasting outputs to feed procurement and automated replenishment processes. Operational scope covered Elkjop’s Nordic retail footprint, more than 400 physical branches and four online shops across Scandinavia, managing roughly 16,000 distinct SKUs.
Program governance emphasized staged rollouts and an IT systems transformation led by the director of IT systems and operations, with wholesale go live in purchasing, logistics, and finance followed a year later by retail finance and replenishment. The solution was deployed to automate reordering and to address the persistent challenge of maintaining product availability across the group.

Zalaris was contracted to deliver Nordic Managed Payroll and HR services for approximately 10,000 employees across Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, and the Zalaris Multi Country Cloud solution was integrated with Elkjop's SAP SuccessFactors based global HR system. Operational coverage combined cloud payroll processing, local service centre support and tested integrations to the global HR environment, aligning HR record keeping, payroll feeds and self service interfaces.
Governance was organized as a managed services contract with a five year renewal term, placing operational responsibility for payroll and local HR service delivery with Zalaris while retaining SAP HCM (HR) as the Core HR application. The arrangement was described by the provider as supporting cost efficiency and a high degree of service quality through common IT solutions and proven integrations to global HR systems.
