In 2022, Embassy Group implemented Pickcel Digital Signage in a Digital Signage rollout across Embassy Tech Parks in Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi. The deployment centralized content management for 113 screens and prioritized location specific content delivery including a custom indoor air quality feed. The implementation included a bespoke AQI App built into Pickcel Digital Signage, screen grouping and user partitioning to control access, and support for 4K content playback. Pickcel Digital Signage’s App Store and native features were used to provision additional content types, while the Pickcel Go mobile app and web console provided remote administrative access. Architecturally the AQI solution integrated Embassy’s physical indoor AQI sensors through the client’s in house server into Pickcel servers via API integrations. Data flow moved from physical indoor AQI sensors to Embassy in house server to Pickcel servers running the AQI App and then to the digital signage screens, with the AQI App polling at defined time intervals and using unique device IDs and logical location tagging to ensure screens only displayed their location specific sensor data. The client repurposed existing Smart TVs and deployed Android media players procured from Pickcel to operate video walls and large format displays. Pickcel provided implementation assistance, and Embassy staff received hands on training and instructional videos to operate the network independently. Operational coverage included receptions, entryways, employee break rooms, lobbies and waiting rooms, and business functions impacted included Marketing and HR for campus wide announcements. The rollout produced visible changes to onsite ambience, enabled branded welcome messaging and live content streams such as news, weather and AQI data, and management reported a significant jump in visitor and employee engagement levels.
