In 2018 Emlyon Business School deployed Hivebrite as its Community Management platform to centralize alumni engagement and community services. The implementation positioned Hivebrite as the primary system for member directories, event coordination, and community content management, aligning the application with institutional engagement workflows.
Hivebrite was configured using its modern APIs to enable two-way synchronization with the schools Salesforce CRM, ensuring contact and engagement records remain consistent between the Community Management platform and the CRM. The deployment also integrated SSO with the institution’s identity provider to streamline authentication and access control for students, alumni, and staff.
Architecturally the rollout leveraged Hivebrite’s cloud-native technology and API layer to connect with Emlyon’s existing IT ecosystem, enabling automated data exchange and programmatic provisioning of community records. Functional capabilities implemented focused on membership lifecycle management, event registration and attendance tracking, content publishing for community communications, and CRM-aligned engagement workflows.
Governance changes accompanied the technical integration, with IT and alumni relations teams coordinating data mapping, consent management, and synchronization rules between Hivebrite and Salesforce CRM. Operational ownership emphasized cross-team workflows between alumni relations and career services to maintain directory accuracy and manage community-driven programs.
