In 2018, Endava implemented Oracle Cloud ERP. Oracle Cloud ERP was provisioned to support Finance and HR processes and to address the company s ERP Financial requirements across its business systems portfolio.
The deployment emphasized core financial management capabilities typical of the ERP Financial category, including general ledger configuration, accounts payable and receivable workflows, fixed asset accounting, cash management and period close orchestration. Configuration work included chart of accounts design, tax and intercompany accounting setups, and automation of routine finance workflows to standardize month end and operational reporting processes.
Operational ownership was structured under a dedicated Oracle support and delivery organization, led by a Head of Oracle Support and Project Delivery who managed a blended team of Support Analysts and contracted Functional Consultants. The team analyzed and documented ongoing internal customer requests for additional features, functionality and integrations, and they owned relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to prioritize enhancements and manage releases.
Governance was formalized through multiple forums, including the Endava Oracle User Group, Change Authorisation Boards, Design Authority and Release Management, which set BAU priorities and received regular reports on Finance and HR systems support performance. Controls and compliance responsibilities explicitly included ITGC SOX control design and execution for Oracle, and the delivery organization focused on process improvement and disciplined application development practices to ensure functionality, timeliness and cost control.
