| Salesforce | Legacy | Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) | Field Service Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2008 | 2008 |
In 2008, Energir implemented Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) for Field Service Management to support field intervention workflows and technician dispatch. The implementation focused on consolidating scheduling and mobile work order execution using the Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) application across operational teams.
Configuration work emphasized scheduling and dispatch orchestration, mobile workforce functionality, and custom feature development, several of which were identified as essential because they were missing from the standard solution. Tests and configuration cycles revealed performance and functionality gaps that required additional development effort and prioritized customizations to align the application with Énergir business processes.
Integration work included attempts to reconcile field service dataflows with core enterprise systems, notably documented difficulties integrating a ServiceMax solution into the SAP source system during project testing. Operational coverage considerations included replacement of aging field technology, specifically ClickSchedule version 8.1 which ceased support in December 2018, the internally developed Mobility application built on obsolete code, and technician devices Motorola ES400 running Windows Mobile 6.5 which are no longer supported.
Project governance tracked scope and cost closely, senior management approved an additional implementation partner to address extra effort, and pandemic restrictions required a shift to virtual training and remote collaboration. By October 1, 2020 project costs were reported at 11.8 million dollars, representing an escalation from prior estimates, and the deployment timeline was adjusted with production targeted to start at the end of November 2020 and a gradual user rollout postponed to February 2021.
