| SAP | Legacy | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2021 | 2021 |
In 2021, Eversheds Sutherland implemented SAP S/4 HANA as an ERP Financial solution, deploying the Fulcrum GT Snap practice management finance configuration in a City of London program that extended through mid 2023. The engagement was organized as a finance work stream with a dedicated functional lead and a multi-disciplinary team, targeting centralization of billing, revenue, cash management and accounts payable into the SAP S/4 HANA environment.
The program delivered a Level 4 Capability Model for finance and support, and produced detailed to-be process documentation and a data model to guide configuration of SAP S/4 HANA. Core deliverables included a Data Migration Plan, Test Plan, Release Plan, System Cutover Plan and Hypercare Plan, and the implementation required bespoke configuration and selective code customization to align practice management workflows with financial accounting and cash processes.
Operational execution relied on managed delivery partners to build integrations, perform data migration and customize base code, while internal IT teams developed the underlying SAP S/4 HANA technical architecture and executed the data migration strategy. Scope of operational coverage explicitly included finance teams from Billing through Revenue and Cash Management to Accounts Payable, with integrations validated through structured testing cycles. A defect management strategy was developed with a third party supplier and implemented in MS Azure DevOps for issue tracking and remediation.
Program governance included membership on the Change Board, Project PMO and Decision Board, and close collaboration with the Chief Finance Officer to define a Target Operating Model for finance support teams and a Centre of Excellence. The project team also led communication strategy and program recruitment activities to staff new finance support roles, and the cutover and hypercare plans established operational workflows for the transition into the SAP S/4 HANA ERP Financial environment.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP SuccessFactors Compensation | Compensation Management | HCM | n/a | 2019 | 2019 |
In 2019, Eversheds Sutherland implemented SAP SuccessFactors Compensation as part of a coordinated HR systems program. The SAP SuccessFactors Compensation deployment is classified under Compensation Management and was aligned with concurrent rollouts of Employee Central, Payroll, Performance & Goals, Recruitment & Onboarding and ECP to create a more unified HR application footprint.
The implementation of SAP SuccessFactors Compensation emphasized functional configuration and specialist-level knowledge for total rewards workflows, including salary planning, bonus and variable pay configuration, and alignment with performance calibration processes. The team managed ongoing configuration changes, smaller business-driven enhancements and periodic version provisioning and testing for SAP SuccessFactors Compensation to ensure consistent policy enforcement and data integrity.
Integrations were established to leverage people and learning data from LMS, Perform and Qualtrics systems and to consume data from other SAP solutions that were being implemented across the firm. Operational coverage included the HR Service Excellence team and the People Analytics function, reporting into the Senior People Analytics Manager based in the Birmingham Office, with the intent to support a global firm operating across 74 offices in 35 countries, including MEA practice responsibilities.
Governance and operational ownership included managing relationships with SAP and the firm’s implementation partner, defining support models, planning software version rollouts and staffing a team to troubleshoot configuration issues. The deployment also prioritized master people data management, data quality controls and security oversight to prevent data integrity or access issues, while building internal functional capability to sustain and evolve SAP SuccessFactors Compensation.
