In 2008, EXP implemented Deltek ERP, migrating from CMiC Enterprise to Deltek Vision as the chosen Deltek ERP deployment for its professional services financial platform. The program targeted finance and accounting functions within EXP and established a 90 user footprint for core ERP operations, reflecting the company s emphasis on centralized project and financial control.
Deltek Vision was configured to support project accounting, job costing, and core financial management capabilities typical of Construction ERP deployments, with explicit emphasis on application security, user training, and ongoing support. The implementation team configured role based access and release processes, and the internal lead oversaw software security, managed upgrades and applied hot fixes to maintain system integrity.
The migration required conversion and reconciliation of accounting ledgers and project financials from CMiC Enterprise into Deltek Vision, and cutover planning focused on preserving financial continuity for billings and project reporting. Operational coverage centered on finance and accounting stakeholders across EXP s Canadian operations, with the ERP serving as the authoritative system for project financials and related transactional data.
Governance and operationalization included structured training and mentorship of junior staff, establishment of support workflows for 90 ERP users, and defined responsibilities for application administration, upgrades, and hot fix management. The role functioned as a liaison between finance and accounting to sustain governance, ensure security practices were applied, and maintain operational readiness of the Deltek ERP environment.
