In 2016, Family Legacy implemented GoCodes Asset Tracking as an Enterprise Asset Management solution to manage logistics for its Zambia operations, with the initial deployment and configuration originating from the US office. The implementation targeted schools and orphanage operations in Zambia, focusing on field logistics, shipping manifests and on-site inventory accountability across mission sites. The team configured the GoCodes Asset Tracking platform with customized inventory and manifest workflows, adapting the inventory and manifest module usage to support field data capture and centralized asset records for operations staff. Mobile field scanning and centralized asset recordkeeping were used to maintain shipping manifests and on-site inventories, enabling operations and logistics staff to complete and reconcile manifests at point of service. Governance and rollout were coordinated from the US office with localized configuration for Zambia, aligning operational workflows to donor reporting requirements and site-level inventory practices. The deployment enabled real-time tracking and improved donor accountability as reported in the case study, and it reoriented inventory workflows toward manifest driven custody and logistics reconciliation for Family Legacy Missions.
