The deployment placed Bottomline Paymode-X Invoice Automation at the center of billing operations used by the Accounts Receivable team to generate and transmit invoices to customer portals and third party networks. The implementation leveraged core invoice automation capabilities typical of AP Automation, including automated invoice presentment, electronic remittance handling, exception routing, and support for card and ACH payment processing workflows. Accounts Receivable personnel used the platform alongside credit evaluation and collections processes, executing cash application and payment posting as part of day to day billing operations. Operationally the platform was integrated into an existing ecosystem, with AR staff managing connections between Bottomline Paymode-X Invoice Automation and third party networks such as Ariba and Direct Commerce, and using GetPaid for payment collection and documentation. The configuration supported collaboration with inside and outside sales to resolve customer disputes and maintain collections workflows. Governance and workflow changes focused on consolidating invoice channel management under the Bottomline Paymode-X Invoice Automation platform, formalizing dispute resolution touchpoints between sales and AR, and embedding cash application and credit assessment activities into the automated invoice lifecycle. This structure positioned Bottomline Paymode-X Invoice Automation as the primary AP Automation tool supporting FCX Performance Accounts Receivable operations.
