In 2015, Fletcher Construction initiated Project Lion Rock to implement Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. Test planning included creation of functional and migrated data test scenarios and cases derived from industry and specification documents, and effort estimation for the Systems Test phase. Test case creation and maintenance were tracked through a traceability matrix to ensure coverage and defect traceability.
Operational coverage spanned finance, project controls, procurement-related order flows, asset lifecycle operations and manufacturing management processes that support construction projects. Testing scenarios were drafted to validate migrated transactional and master data across those functional areas, with test scripts designed to exercise order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, project costing and asset management workflows within Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
Governance and delivery included regular reporting to the Project Manager, liaison with Subject Matter Experts and issue escalation to SMEs via the Project Coordinator, with issues monitored to resolved status.
