In 2013, Florida Healthcare Plus implemented Oracle NetSuite ERP to centralize accounting, billing and core financial operations. The deployment used Oracle NetSuite ERP as a cloud native SaaS financial backbone configured for a mid market insurer, establishing a single system of record for transactional finance activities and regulatory reporting needs.
Configuration focused on ERP Financial capabilities, including general ledger consolidation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing controls, fixed asset management, cash management and financial reporting. The implementation included chart of accounts rationalization, automated journal and period close workflows, revenue recognition rules aligned to premium billing, and role based access controls to segregate duties within finance.
Operational coverage centered on the company finance and billing functions across the United States, with governance established through standardized month end close procedures, audit trail instrumentation, and documentation of financial controls. The rollout emphasized phased adoption within the finance organization, training for accounting staff, and configuration lock down to support consistent regulatory and audit processes.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft Management Reporter (formerly FRx) | EPM | EPM | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012 Florida Healthcare Plus implemented Microsoft Management Reporter (formerly FRx) as part of an EPM deployment to produce statutory and management financial statements. The implementation ran alongside an assisted Microsoft Dynamics implementation and included importing historical trial balances to seed the reporting environment and preserve financial history.
Configuration work focused on financial reporting and ledger structure, including creation of a chart of accounts and the setup of departments and locations to support departmental and site-level reporting. Microsoft Management Reporter was used to build and run formal financial statements, and the accounting team performed monthly reconciliations, balance sheet maintenance, and year-end close activities within that reporting framework.
The implementation operated across accounting, payroll, marketing, broker payables, human resources, and compliance functions, and integrated with operational payroll and benefits processes. Explicit integrations and operational handoffs included updating hours on the QuickPayPayroll website, processing 401k deferral uploads to AXA Securities, producing check runs for operating, FFS claims, capitation, member reimbursements, and handling plan to plan payables and receivables using report identifiers 43COV and 41COV.
Governance and process ownership rested with the controller who supervised and mentored the accounting team, managed biweekly payroll activities, maintained positive pay and stop payment controls, and coordinated the annual audit with Morrison Brown Argiz and Farra. Responsibilities extended to monthly depreciation, payroll budgeting and reforecasting, preparation of financial statements and notes, and serving as the communication liaison between accounting, human resources, and compliance.
