| Business Micros | Legacy | Business Micros EvoNET | Manufacturing ERP | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2018 | In 2017 Ford Windows deployed Business Micros EvoNET as a Manufacturing ERP across its Sheffield operations. The bespoke EvoNET solution was rolled out across warehouse, factory and despatch to introduce barcode tracking, automated invoicing and detailed production and fitting reporting for the UK new-build sector. The Sheffield site was configured and used as a Business Micros demonstration and reference installation. Architecturally the implementation concentrated on shop floor and logistics data capture, embedding barcode generation and scan-based workflows into inventory, production and despatch processes, including auto-generated barcodes for glass suppliers to support supplier traceability. Functional modules implemented included barcode tracking, warehouse scanning, production and fitting reporting, and invoice automation to reduce paperwork and improve transactional accuracy. Governance and operational change emphasized standardizing point-of-activity data capture and workflow controls at the site level to validate configurations for similar projects. |
