Oracle Legacy Oracle Cloud ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2026 2026
In 2019, the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as part of the Atlas programme. The Oracle Cloud ERP deployment targeted ERP Financial capabilities and established a global cloud ERP footprint overseen by a dedicated Service workstream accountable for service architecture and delivery. The Service workstream was responsible for project delivery management to keep the service project workstream on plan and to manage programme risks, and for the design of shared services, support and governance models adapted to a cloud operational model and evolving organisational strategy. Responsibilities explicitly included production of a Service Design Pack and a transition plan to support Oracle Cloud Fusion, aligning service architecture with the procurement timeline. Key deliverables comprised the Service Design Pack, a transition plan to support Oracle Cloud Fusion, operational support policies, processes and procedures adapted to the new service model, and production of service requirements to support the ITT and procurement process. These artifacts underpinned the configuration and operating model for core financial operations and shared services required by the ERP Financial implementation. Operational coverage emphasized financial management, shared services and procurement workflows with configuration focused on core financial modules typical of ERP Financial deployments. Governance and process changes were formalized through the support and governance model and a project delivery manager role that coordinated rollout activities, defined operational support policies and managed identified service risks.
