In 2019 Fortnum & Mason implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as the store’s ERP Financial backbone during a D365 Version 10.0.11 update project. The engagement covered configuration and rollout activity for retail commerce and supply chain modules to support the retailer’s call centre, multiple physical stores, and online channel. The work period included a contracted Business Analyst assignment from September 2019 to September 2020 that supported configuration, testing, and operational stabilization. Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations was configured for core retail and commerce workflows, including Commerce Scale Unit setup using RSSU and RCSU, MPOS and CPOS deployment with offline database capability, and HQ configuration for MPOS and CPOS. The implementation included retail and POS functional configuration, unit testing of call centre and store POS processes in D365 version 10, and commercial configuration aligned to point of sale and omni-channel order flows. Integrations were implemented and supported as part of the deployment, including an Adyen Payment Connector and a Givex external gift card connector inside D365 FO. The program also covered integration points for POS connectivity, EDI flows through TrueCommerce middleware, a third party warehouse system, e-commerce platform integration, and AGR Merchandising tool interactions. Functional scope included credit card processing, omni-channel payments, linked refunds, and online retail channel payment flows. Operational governance included formal unit tests for POS, call centre and store functions, ongoing monitoring of daily critical system activities, incident management and resolution processes, and Business System Analyst level troubleshooting for Dynamics 365 SCM, POS and Retail components. Support responsibilities encompassed monitoring integrated applications, managing incidents, and advising on business process issues to maintain operational continuity across retail and ecommerce channels. Business functions impacted by the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations deployment included retail operations, payments processing, merchandising, warehousing and call centre order handling. The implementation emphasized commerce scale, offline POS resiliency and integrated payment and gift card services to align in-store and online retail operations under the ERP Financial platform.

RELEX Solutions Legacy RELEX Rebot Generative AI Platforms AI Development Demandtex 2024 2025
In 2024 Fortnum & Mason implemented RELEX Rebot from RELEX Solutions as part of a RELEX deployment for forecasting and replenishment across its United Kingdom operations. The deployment is cataloged under Generative AI Platforms and was selected to improve product availability, optimise inventory and reduce waste across UK stores and distribution points. The implementation focuses on core forecasting and replenishment capabilities, with RELEX Rebot providing AI-assisted planner workflows and decision support to accelerate demand forecasting and generate replenishment proposals. Functional capabilities implemented include demand forecasting, inventory optimisation and replenishment planning, together with planner decision-assist features consistent with RELEX Rebot functionality. Demandtex provided implementation support for configuration, user enablement and rollout coordination of the RELEX deployment at Fortnum & Mason. RELEX made Rebot generally available in March 2024, so Fortnum & Mason's RELEX deployment likely includes RELEX Rebot as the planner-facing generative AI component to boost planner productivity and decision-making. Operational scope for the deployment covers supply chain planning, merchandising and inventory management within the United Kingdom, with direct impact on planning and inventory teams responsible for assortment and store replenishment.
