The deployment focused on integrating FactSet Fundamentals data into analytical pipelines used by equity researchers and portfolio risk managers, with Python-based analysis layered on top for KPI definition and historical trend comparisons. Functional capabilities implemented included fundamentals and estimates ingestion, total return and ratio calculations, constituent-level market data consolidation, and data staging for downstream valuation and reporting.
Integrations were constructed with BarraOne risk analytics for risk metric alignment and with the Franklin system of record using API exports in XML format, enabling automated transfer of Total Risk, Risk Composition metrics, TEV and VaR into the Franklin Data Quality Dashboard. The environment also consumed market data and benchmarks from FactSet and Bloomberg, and used Charles River to reconcile trade and confirmation data during modeling and position verification.
Governance and operationalization emphasized data reconciliation and testing, with offshore and on-site teams coordinating development, creation and review of data mappings, execution of system integration testing, user acceptance testing and production smoke testing. Asset modeling and reconciliation processes included use of BarraOne templates to upload asset models, scheduled batch report runs, review of rejected assets against Franklin accounting and trading records, and daily portfolio monitoring driven by VaR and Tracking Error Volatility metrics.
