The program was established to program manage and spearhead a suite of enterprise applications for a fully automated greenfield facility, including software selection, partner selection and systems and conveyor controls implementation.
SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was configured to provide core ERP Financial capabilities and to support standard retail workflows including order to cash, procure to pay, inventory management, production planning and demand forecasting. Functional modules implemented encompassed finance, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, order management, purchasing, inventory and manufacturing to align transactional finance with operational processes across the retail value chain.
Integrations were executed with Manhattan WMOS, Intelligrated WES, the e commerce platform and the enterprise data warehouse, with interfaces designed to convey inventory transactions, warehouse execution events and fulfillment status into financial and inventory valuation processes. The integration scope included conveyor controls and warehouse execution interfaces to ensure operational events from inbound and outbound logistics fed into ERP postings and reporting.
Program governance centered on an ERP application team that led strategic business transformation across Forecasting, Order Processing, Outbound Logistics, Inventory Management, Manufacturing, Inbound Logistics, Purchasing and Finance. Rollout planning was staged to align with the greenfield site commissioning, and governance emphasized cross functional process ownership, systems and controls acceptance criteria and formal change control for business process redesign.
