In 2015, GAIN Capital implemented Infor SunSystems as its ERP Financial platform to support an acquisition integration program. The engagement co-led the post acquisition integration of Daniels Trading accounting systems, operating rhythms, and month end close processes into GAIN Capital accounting operations.
The Infor SunSystems deployment focused on core general ledger configuration, chart of accounts harmonization, month end close orchestration, and mapping of accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows. Configuration work concentrated on standardizing journal posting rules, reconciliation templates, and close task sequencing to align Daniels Trading finance activities with GAIN Capital reporting requirements.
Data conversion and system consolidation work included migrating transactional records from QuickBooks instances into Microsoft Great Plains and Infor SunSystems as part of the consolidation effort. Integrations centered on bringing Daniels Trading financial data, intercompany postings, and operating cadence into the consolidated ERP Financial environment represented by Infor SunSystems.
Governance and process changes established a centralized close schedule, standardized reconciliation ownership, and documented operating rhythms for month end activities across finance and accounting teams.
