In 2020, Galliford Try migrated from on premise Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1.3 to Oracle Cloud ERP, adopting Oracle Cloud ERP as its ERP Financial solution. The program was structured as a phased cloud migration across HCM, Payroll and ERP to separate workforce and core financial capabilities for controlled cutovers.
Inoapps served as the system integrator for the engagement, with the Head of Business Application acting as Solution Architect and accountable for the migration architecture. Implementation workstreams explicitly included reporting, data migration, integration, customer experience and Digital Assistant capabilities, and the Solution Design Authority provided functional guidance and configuration decisions for contentious areas such as absence tracking granularity.
Operational scope covered core finance, payroll and HR functions across Galliford Try's UK operations and interfaced with the existing application estate, which includes more than 100 business facing applications for planning, estimating, BIM, collaboration and design. The program retained BAU support for the on premise E-Business Suite stack while executing cutover and data migration activities for Oracle Cloud ERP.
Governance was formalized through a Change Management Board, an Executive Stakeholder Board and a Solution Design Authority, with discovery sessions between business stakeholders and the SI to validate configuration choices. A noted outcome was an elevated working relationship with Oracle’s cloud shift and agile teams, using Oracle funded support and a Universal Credit environment to progress work areas where the SI could not deliver, with provisions for future recovery of agile team costs.

In 2016 Galliford Try implemented Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS as its Core HR application. The company’s existing hosted infrastructure agreement for its Oracle E-Business Suite HR and Payroll solution was under performing, with frequent performance issues and outages that prevented users from adopting new application capabilities and eroded confidence in the incumbent provider.
Inoapps was engaged as the implementation and services partner to stabilize Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS and to provide managed hosting and application support. The engagement focused on the HR and Payroll functional footprint, aligning Core HR capabilities such as employee records, payroll processing, workforce administration and related transaction processing to a managed operations model. Implementation activity emphasized infrastructure remediation, performance tuning, patching cadence and application support workflows consistent with enterprise Core HR operations.
Operational coverage targeted Galliford Try’s HR and Payroll business functions across its United Kingdom operations, with governance handed to the Inoapps services team to oversee day to day application support and hosting responsibilities. The program addressed contractual and operational failings in the incumbent hosting agreement, moving governance to a single services provider for both infrastructure and Oracle E-Business Suite HRMS application management.
