Games Workshop has been making Citadel Miniatures, the finest fantasy miniatures in the world, for over 30 years, it has 420+ retail stores in 20 countries, as well as trade sales teams selling to over 4000 independent retailers worldwide.

Games Workshop decided to disrupt itself and its digital process by replacing its legacy Sage Line 500 ERP systems within 3 data centers with a Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 global implementation (including production, Warehouse AX, Finance and Sales modules) valued at $9 million.

Additionally, Games Workshop adopted a Full SQL BI Stack including SSIS (ETL), SSRS (Reporting), SSAS (Cubes) and MDX for real-time business intelligence and analytics.

For its Warehouse process automation, Games Workshop was relying on applications from Datalinx which were replaced by Manhattan Associates WMS apps.

On the other hand, for its retail back office and eCommerce Games Workshop is relying on Oracle technologies such as Oracle Micros Retail J & Oracle ATG Web Commerce.

A major transformation was done with the Integration of the Oracle ATG Web platform to the ERP solution, warehousing solution and its CRM system Maximiser. The latest move of Games Workshop was the deployment of Microsoft Dynamics logistics (WAX) module for the components warehouse and improving supply chain efficiency.
