Oracle Legacy Oracle E-Business Suite ERP Financial ERP Financial Management n/a 2012 2013
In 2012, GE Appliances implemented Oracle E-Business Suite to consolidate core finance systems. The deployment targeted ERP Financial business functions, positioning Oracle E-Business Suite as the central financial application for accounting, ledger and statutory reporting across the manufacturing organization. Configuration work focused on standard ERP Financial capabilities, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and Fixed Assets modules, with workflows aligned to inventory valuation and cost accounting common in manufacturing finance operations. The Oracle E-Business Suite implementation included transaction processing, period close orchestration and configuration of financial controls consistent with corporate reporting requirements. The technical architecture was operated as a hybrid model combining corporate data centers and cloud infrastructure, with explicit administration responsibilities for Oracle E-Business Suite and the Oracle Technology Tower. The environment leveraged managed services and multicloud infrastructure components such as OCI, AWS and GCP, and included interfaces to downstream operational systems and enterprise data stores to support end to end financial processing and reconciliations. Operational governance for Oracle E-Business Suite is led by the Director of Digital Technology Infrastructure Operations, who oversees Oracle E-Business Suite administration, cloud infrastructure and managed services. Onshore and offshore service delivery teams of approximately 150 IT engineers provide day to day support, making the implementation the primary ERP Financial backbone for GE Appliances finance and accounting operations in the United States.
