In 2020 Geeknet deployed New Relic APM on their public website, adopting New Relic APM as the Application Performance Management solution for their retail web presence. The deployment instrumented both server side application processes and browser traffic to capture transaction traces, error analytics, latency profiles and standard performance metrics. This implementation is scoped to the company s ecommerce site and aligns with Geeknet s small retail operational footprint and engineering support model.
Configuration included installation of APM agents, creation of application maps, configuration of performance dashboards and establishment of alerting policies to support incident investigation and triage. Operational coverage centers on web operations, engineering and customer support teams who consume New Relic APM data for monitoring, root cause analysis and SLA visibility. The implementation uses dashboards and transaction traces as primary workflow tools to maintain continuous monitoring of the production website under the Application Performance Management framework.
