Oracle Legacy Oracle PeopleSoft ERP ERP Financial ERP n/a 2003 2017
In 2003, GIA implemented Oracle PeopleSoft ERP as its core ERP Financial platform. The Oracle PeopleSoft ERP deployment targeted global functional areas including Finance, Human Resources, Payroll and Higher Education administrative processes. GIA's implementation included configuration of Finance, HR, Payroll and Higher Education administrative modules, with integration into an established SSDLC and application portfolio management practice. The program was delivered on time and within budget while aligning application, database and infrastructure services to standardized platform patterns for expansion and performance. The Oracle PeopleSoft ERP instance was part of a broader integration landscape, interfacing with enterprise J2EE applications over a SOA framework, an identity management layer with multifactor authentication to enable enterprise single sign on and audit controls, and a business intelligence solution for planning and forecasting. Operational infrastructure incorporated Amazon cloud hosting and outsourced services, Akamai content delivery for stability and performance, and comprehensive global disaster recovery and business continuity solutions. Governance was enforced through centralized change management, security and compliance controls and application portfolio oversight to drive business enablement and GRC management. IT leadership established vendor relationship discipline and service level oriented operations to support run, grow and transform priorities across global IT services. The PeopleSoft ERP rollout was implemented on time within budget and was supported by successful global DR and BCP implementations. The combined stack of Oracle PeopleSoft ERP, identity management, BI and cloud infrastructure provided a standardized, secure and auditable foundation for GIA's financial and administrative operations.
