In 2010, General Electric implemented FIS GETPAID as its AR Automation platform. The deployment positioned FIS GETPAID as the central accounts receivable engine for GE, consolidating receivables processes under a single AR Automation application.
The implementation of FIS GETPAID encompassed core accounts receivable capabilities including electronic invoice presentment, automated cash application, payment processing orchestration, collections workflow automation, and exception handling and reporting. Configuration work emphasized transaction-level reconciliation and centralized payment routing consistent with AR Automation functional patterns.
Integrations included a global cutover that removed all local check writing capabilities and implemented EPIQ for payment execution, alongside other enterprise integrations for financial data exchange. Integrations were organized around payment settlement, remittance processing, and ledger posting interfaces to support automated downstream accounting updates.
Governance changes centralized payment issuance and restructured AR and treasury workflows, shifting control for check issuance and payment authorization to a centralized payments hub. Operational coverage extended across GE accounts receivable and treasury teams globally, with process and workflow standardization to support the consolidated FIS GETPAID AR Automation environment.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday Absence Management | Absence and Leave Management | HCM | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, General Electric configured Workday Absence Management as its Absence and Leave Management application. Workday Absence Management was provisioned to centralize leave administration for GE’s global workforce of 76,800 employees, with configuration performed inside the company Workday tenant to enforce policy driven absence plans and case handling.
The implementation emphasized standard Absence and Leave Management capabilities, including leave of absence workflows, entitlement and eligibility calculations, manager approval routing, employee self service for time off requests, and operational reporting for absence records. Configuration was led by an internal Workday Leave of Absence lead configurator, who defined absence plan templates, approval chains, and case management rules within the application.
Governance focused on embedding the absence processes into HR operations and benefits administration, using role based access controls and centralized configuration to maintain consistency across business units. The deployment structured approvals and audit trails inside Workday Absence Management to support compliance and ongoing administration by HR and payroll teams.

| Hitachi Vantara | Legacy | Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite | Asset Performance Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2007 | 2008 |
In 2007, General Electric implemented Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite as an Asset Performance Management solution to centralize network asset planning and operational oversight. The implementation emphasized the Network Asset Manager module, identified in project documentation as NAM release 1.0, and targeted integration points with Smallworld GIS components to support spatially aware asset workflows.
The project team defined conceptual and logical architecture for Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite, producing architecture-level specifications that guided downstream design and developer work. Two proofs-of-concept were developed as part of the program, one implemented on FocalPoint using C# and .NET and a second using BusinessObjects BusinessIntelligence with J2EE and Java, demonstrating analytic and integration approaches for reporting and BI use cases.
Operational integrations included the Smallworld Application Framework and Smallworld 4.0 runtime for GIS functionality, BusinessObjects for analytics, and database work leveraging Oracle PL/SQL for data access and transactional logic. Functional capabilities delivered encompassed network asset modeling, a GUI control window rework, and a business logic layer to support NAM workflows and asset data management.
Governance and rollout were executed through defined development, patch generation, and testing processes, with an application architect and technical lead managing a project team of six developers and producing weekly progress reports. The implementation included training and mentoring activities, notably training 15 local developers on Smallworld Application Framework architecture and coordinating the product release 4.0.1 to align development and quality assurance cycles.
Documented outcomes tied to the deployment include expedited time-to-market through rapid proofs-of-concept, improved product quality via the architecture-first approach, and commercial enablement activities that contributed to a profitable sale of a related product offering. These results underscore a programmatic focus on architecture governance, integration readiness, and developer enablement during the Hitachi Ventyx FocalPoint Suite rollout.
