In 2015, Getinge US implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform. The engagement consolidated functional financial processes into a single SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance for Getinge US and focused on centralizing General Ledger and master data to support Finance and Supply Chain operations across the organization.
The implementation encompassed master data extraction and serialization, detailed data mapping, and Financial G/L data modeling, with configuration work aligned to an ERP Financial template. Functional activities included workshops with Finance and Supply Chain groups to define use cases, build the Solution Manager library, and produce comprehensive use case and process documentation illustrating how the global ERP template would fit the multi-ERP landscape.
Technical workstreams moved multiple Sales, Operations, and Quality SQL reports into an SSRS production environment, and this reporting migration was coupled with data reconciliation, testing, and quality assurance. Change control and documentation flows were managed through Solution Manager, and the project provided process documentation to an offshore development team to guide template build and development efforts.
Governance covered co-functional leadership of the financial implementation team, extraction and reconciliation signoffs, and controlled movement of master data into the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 instance. The project successfully completed master data modeling, extraction, testing, and the SSRS report migration, establishing a structured governance and documentation baseline for ongoing ERP Financial operations at Getinge US.
