Configuration centered on Prophet 21 order management and inventory control capabilities, with functional emphasis on customer Kan Ban bin programs, inbound inspection and quality control logging, shipping manifest generation, and support for handheld barcode-driven picking and packing. Epicor Prophet 21 was the system of record for entering customer replenishment orders and managing inventory movements tied to those bin programs.
Integration architecture included handheld barcode scanners linking a Warehouse Management System to Prophet 21 order management, enabling scan-driven pick, pack, ship, and manifest workflows as well as real-time updates to inventory status. The implementation supported documented workflows for receiving incoming product, moving items into warehouse inventory, and recording conforming and non-conforming material per Gexpro Services and customer standards.
