In 2016, Gist implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits as its Benefits Administration platform. The deployment centralized benefits enrollment, provider relationship management, and payroll deduction controls for Gist's HR organization supporting roughly 5,500 employees in the United Kingdom.
The implementation configured core Benefits Administration capabilities including benefits enrollment and change management, eligibility and rules engines, employee self-service enrollment, a centralized benefits catalog, carrier management, and automated payroll deduction feeds. SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits was used to enforce company benefit policies and to provide HR system administration for benefit events, audit trails, and standard reporting.
Operationally the solution was integrated with Gist's SuccessFactors HR systems to synchronize employee master data and payroll deduction attributes, supporting HR, payroll and benefits teams. Governance was structured around HR benefits coordinators who maintained vendor and contract relationships with external benefit providers, owned runbooks for benefits issue resolution, and enforced policy and process controls for benefits administration.
