In 2017, Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP as their ERP Financial solution to unify finance and accounting across the group. The selection followed a documented RFI process that prioritized multi currency functionality, strong integration capabilities, flexible reporting for pool member and pool year accounts, and robust cash and reconciliation features.
The Microsoft Dynamics GP deployment at Global Aerospace delivered core financial accounting modules configured for trial balances, profit and loss statements, statutory reporting by pool member and segmented chart of accounts reporting. Configuration emphasized cash handling, bank reconciliation, expense control and segmented account structures to enable reporting at multiple levels. The solution ran on a Microsoft SQL Server relational database environment, aligning with the companys existing Microsoft architecture and easing data compatibility and integration.
Integrations were explicitly implemented to connect Microsoft Dynamics GP with existing underwriting processing, including the Av/38 solution, enabling financial outputs to be incorporated into pool member accounts. The initial implementation completed in two months at the UK office, followed by rollouts across the U.S. and Canadian offices. A later upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics GP version 8 was executed as a coordinated global update, comprising fifty database upgrades performed simultaneously across sites.
Advantage Business Systems acted as the implementation partner and continues to provide ongoing support, with Global Aerospace noting an annual contract review practice and sustained partnership continuity. Governance work focused on consistent process definition for underwriting on behalf of multiple pool members, establishing group level monitoring and common reporting practices to ensure U.S. and Canadian offices reported into the U.K. on a standardized basis.
The organization gained a group wide business management solution that simplified day to day processes and financial reporting, and the Microsoft Office look and feel supported end user acceptance. The upgrade path and global coordinated database updates demonstrated a managed application lifecycle approach for Microsoft Dynamics GP in an ERP Financial context.

| Sage | Legacy | Sage SnowdropKCS | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010, Global Aerospace Underwriting Managers migrated from KCS V9.2 to Sage SnowdropKCS Core HR, initiating a consolidated HR and payroll upgrade across its London head office and international payroll jurisdictions. The program was executed as a project managed upgrade with explicit data migration and cleansing activities to move employee records and payroll configurations into the new Sage SnowdropKCS integrated solution.
The implementation configured Sage SnowdropKCS with core payroll processing and HR administration capabilities, including monthly payroll sign-off, joiners and leavers processing, Real Time Information filings, Auto-enrolment pension staging, PSA handling, generation of P60s and P11Ds, reconciliation of payroll runs, and posting to General Ledger accounts. A self-service module was implemented and configured to support employee-driven personnel updates and benefits administration, aligned with the Core HR functional workflows.
Integration work focused on the General Ledger interface for payroll accounting and on ensuring payroll compliance feeds such as RTI and Auto-enrolment were operational for multiple jurisdictions. Operational coverage included UK payrolls, the Republic of Ireland payroll, Swiss payrolls, and a pensioners payroll stream, with the self-service module rolled out to the UK and Swiss offices as part of the phased deployment.
Governance was retained within the payroll and benefits team, the payroll lead acted as project manager for the upgrade, and operational controls emphasized monthly sign-off, reconciliation procedures, and continued HR administration for pensions, benefits and health and safety. The self-service capability was successfully rolled out to specified offices, supporting decentralized employee data updates while central payroll governance maintained control over compliance and month-end processes.
